Only a few times in a lifetime -- if you are lucky -- along comes someone who steals your heart. Tedd is my friend ... my supporter ... and protector. He is now irrevocably etched in my heart. I say unabashedly that I love Tedd dearly, and am thrilled that he finally got his RAV.

Our very own Elizabeth (rottlady) spoke with Tedd earlier ... apparently he is concerned about not being able to respond to all the wonderful, well wishing comments from his Newsvine friends. Now is that typical Tedd, or what?

Yes, 1915 is a year to remember. But, the truth is, that has nothing to do with Elizabeth's (aka rottlady, bigmomma and prisoner #34560) birthday.

On behalf of the women on the Vine and off, I now present, with "hat in hand", the disgusting, rude, insensitive and/or thoughtless things women do; indoors or out. A couple of statements to introduce this entry ...

The year was 1776. Americans stop talking to the British. Then they stop talking to the rest of the world. Finally there was peace on Newsvine.

Three months later, almost to the day, a fire came too close for comfort. The New York City block I live on has buildings that are old. Most are over fifty years old or more.

When someone as spectacularly special as Tedd Riggs chews you out for being a (gasp!) Newsvine deserter, what's a bad doggie to do? Nuthin' much ... ... 'cept hang her head in shame and then let you all my Newsvine friends know how much I miss you.

Last time I was 'swinging the Vine', I came upon a long, long, long, long, long rant about the sacrilege of Valentine's day. Nobody had commented, voted and, for all I know, read it.

Holy Pole-y! We humans just can't seem to get it right. Maybe, if we'd stop all the speculating that appears to be going on 24/7, we'd start seeing things with more clarity. But hey -- this is America. And, when it comes to politics, Americans get extremely passionate.

A couple of days back, there was an article posted on Newsvine about women being used as suicide attackers by al-Qaida. Not only was it far from funny, it hit all kinds of nerves inside of me; as I'm sure it did most people. Here is how it was reported from Baghdad:

Much as I love living in Manhattan, there are moments when sights, smells and sounds get, well -- kind of inelegant . Since I started walking dogs about a year and a half ago, I have noticed all kinds of things in my travels that I was oblivious to in the past.
